Columbia University | Ivy League Experience | Summer in New York

I did a Summer Semester at Columbia University in May 2017 wherein the Columbia School of Professional Studies offers courses that are available for a duration of 1.5 to 3 months during the Summer. Trust me, Summers are the best time to be in New York City with all the outdoor activities and the sun setting at 8:45 pm everyday!

I took up a course on New Ideas Development & Entrepreneurship and another course that studies New York City as a Business & Cultural Case Study. We had classroom sessions, guest lectures, case studies and loads of field trips to make our learning experience enjoyable.

The Columbia Summer is a true Ivy League experience with extremely qualified professors with great connections and a Columbia email id (Mine is henna.shah@columbia.edu in case you have any other questions!) and alumnus status for life!

The Columbia student ID has a lot of perks in the city in the form of student discounts at tourist sites, restaurants, theaters and shops.

I had opted for the Columbia Housing Facility closer to campus which was pretty average but convenient. All in all Columbia the best place to utilize your summer break and meet a diverse crowd and exchange culture and ideas.
